Temporary staying period of foreigners and stateless persons who enter the Republic of Azerbaijan upon visit, cannot be more than the staying period indicated on the visit. Temporary staying period of foreigners and stateless persons who enter the Republic of Azerbaijan under visit-free regime, cannot be more than 90 days excluding the cases envisitged by the international agreements that the Republic of Azerbaijan is a party to.

Foreigners or stateless persons temporarily staying in the Republic of Azerbaijan for more than 15 days (as well as when they change their place of stay) should apply to the management of the place he/she stays (hotel, sanatorium, rest home, guest house, camping, tourist base, hospital or other similar places) or the owner of the apartment or other residential area in order to get registered upon place of stay by State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan without paying any state fee.

Foreigners and stateless persons who overstay more than the period indicated on the e-visit or was not registered upon place of stay (in case he/she stays more than 15 days) or did not obey the rules of registration upon place of stay when moving from one place to another are involved in the liability in a way defined by the law (Violation of these rules results in administrative liability according to Article 575 of Administrative Offences Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan).

E-visit does not give right to foreigners and stateless persons to engage in paid labour activity in the Republic of Azerbaijan. Foreigners and stateless persons intending to engage in paid labour activity in the Republic of Azerbaijan should obtain labour visit (the period of stay in the country is defined for up to 90 days) in a way envisitged in Migration Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Foreigners and stateless persons intending both to reside temporarily and to engage in paid labour activity within the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan should obtain work permit along with the permit for temporary residence in a way defined by Migration Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
